For those listen to Sinar.fm surely will come across commercial break where SY mentioned "Kril, Mak ning nak buat dapur..."

Currently I'm thinking to have kitchen cabinet. To date I have email some companies for quotation, unfortunately reply adalah ratio 1/10...[ke my email asking quotation tu xbetul since ayat berterabur bagai]

The fact that currently I think kitchen cabinet is much more complex than delivery process..[ape kes compare begitu bagai???]

I have no idea about material so on...so for past few weeks I have super marathon reading forums...and guess what I have a lil bit here and there info. But again each material have pros and cons and so many detailing that I really dont know

For budget, I already find all the source that I have...duit baki salam kaut masa kawen [okeh2 dh lupa until ude kata duit tu tersadai je], baki duit hantaran, duit main kutu, syiling2 terkumpul, saving tuk kawen [i thot i dun have any balance till I saw the saving book and gulp ada lg baki! yeay]. The only that I dont touch ASB....sbb tu mcm fixed deposit

For design nothing fancy2...island2/ kaunter pulau2 tu of course not in list since kitchen sekankang kera..plus I prefer something simple. Yang kelakar encik suami asked me.."flooring sume tu xmo buat ke??"...Nope..flooring xpayah since karang terbeliak biji mata for all the costs besides its for wet combo dry kitchen

Hmm...sometimes I think to delay this dream, but considering in future surely harga minyak naik [sah2 xkan ade turun kan] so for sure in future all materials will increase slightly

But if I do not proceed with this, I have to stay with current condition which I do not prefer [iye dapurku tonggang terbalik esp after sesi-soping-groceries...xde tempat nk letak elok2..and end up akan terjadilah pemandangan-tak-indah]

Haih but selecting the contractor also a lil bit pening...read some had bad experience...eg kena tipu, keje xikut schedule, keje x kemas, so on...

Owh...then pening itu bertambah lagi slps baca thread forum..you know why? because items for kitchen cabinet have sooo many choices and so many thing need to be synchronies at the same time. Which I can name it slim hood, chimney hood, ducting, wiring, stainless steel hub, glass hub, pfr, psf, mieco, solid surface, tall unit, pull out basket, pull out table, etc..plus it comes with budget $$$

Hmmmm..but I always dreaming that very soon kitchen will be colorful and lively since I still remember childhood memory of baking, and so on with my late mother...[haha siap rebut2 nk pukul telur, siapa nk buat ape masa proses kuih raya, potong kuih apam guna benang and so on]...Yeah if kitchen is organised lagi senang nk wat operasi masak2 bersama anak bukan?

Nevermind, today I will meet one contractor...maybe I will have more ideas on this and maybe very soon my dream comes true =)..

p/s : if anyone have preferred contractor can you inform me? so I can get their quotation as well

The wedding smart shopper and promoting recycle concept

Should I say that I am a smart shopper? Kwang3....I dun have any ideas..but after looking in my wallet i have this 3 card from series of wedding shopping

One card – the most earliest card I get...and it is free for 3 years (after spending some amt $$$) ....benefit? a lot since I have privilege parking area...but of course still havr to top up the card to pay parking ~ no more pusing2, gaduh2 for parking, but still the parking rate is the best...
Plus...monthly info on any promo via mail and sometimes sms! ~ even tho never grab it but it is good bargain

WS, Nilai – I got it from sesi membeli hand bouquet ....so after that at least I have a discounted price for the items there

Choc – got it from choc session...since i’m really looking for Hershey’s nugget *not sure why I always saw Hershey’s kisses but hard to find nuggets*...we ended up to buy it here and plus get the card ~ siap cashier yg promo kira2 diskaun yg dpt even we still have to pay for the member fees....

On top of that we have sesi membeli makanan tidak sihat di kedai borong nearby NSK Selayang(bkn dlm NSK , tp sebelah ~ nama kedai Fantasy Jungle Food..kedainyer xcun tp banyak giler jajan!)...and I just spend RM54.20 and able to have this

4 balang coklat ~cop Msia...even tho agak kasar teksturnye, tetapi still rasa coklat
5 bungkus mini pudding ~ plastiknya tidak melekat, which is senang nk makan

And all this is for 200 special goodie bag and 10 gift kat meja pengantin ~ still ada jugak lebih untk makan2 upah buat yg tolong isi2...so the cost is:-
Choc 9.80 /120 = 0.08 each
Mini pudding 3/50= 0.06 each

And upah untk encik suami....jajan glamer masa kanak2 ~ hehe actually here have a lot jajan masa kanak2..so we might come here again to have this junkie as our ration.. So here the map to NSK Selayang and preview yg x berapa clear... So buat yg mencari pemborong coklat, asam, gula-gula, makanan ringan dsb bolehla menjenguk yer...~berjenis2 di sini crispy, mentos, ada yg jenama x dikenali jugak...

Sometimes u want to buy specific things for ur wedding, but not sure whether is will be use once and after that hanya akan disimpan dlm muzium sbgai kenang-kenangan..

But for myself, I have do some recycle

Bantal2 kecik deco bilik pengantin ~ recycle it for our living hall deco

Comforter set bilik pengantin ~ guna balik la....
Hand bouquet ~ I’m not good in flower arrangement...so my hand bouquet becomes bunga di meja makan..besides last time I use my hand bouquet as deco bilik pengantin juga.....

So I think every time when u want to shop, think it twice....consider that it can be re-use again...

Part VIII: Big day..all about wedding

Sedang bersiaran dari KFC Universiti lalala....*trying to make myself happy eventhough mcm banyak lagi benda x siap....pening2....*

Again sesi cuci mata..I believe esp wedding it will be much easier if we show pictures to mak andam, kedai kek, tukang jahit, etc...unless you have super-duper marvelous idea for your big day - or maybe u're talented with drawing skills....

Part II : Big day..all about wedding

I'm trying to focus to main areas and also where the most expenses will be spend for the big day

Place
Masjid, rumah, hotel, balai raya..most people will like to choose mosque to have their solemnisation and the reception will be either house, balai raya, dewan, kompleks, hotel, beach, FRIM etc...whatever it is other than house we need to book the place to held the event...some places might even fully book..so the best is to book it as early as you can and keep doing follow up in case you might be left out as people might do mistakes...

On top of that the list will count also the following…canopy, table, chair, accessories *kerusi tu bersarung ker…ade lampu2 gantung kah, fresh flower for each table etc…opss alas meja pun termasuk jugak kan* , cutlers, tissue, pinggan mangkuk, sudu cawan, tempat basuh tangan..erm maybe this should be part of food also..

Invitation card

It can be DIY or just choose the design at let the card shop do the rest..or some even do the printing and DIY by adding ribbons later . Price of the card will depends on the design....make sure they spell the name *esp if the bride and groom name might sound like Norizan, Raihan..which it can be gurl or guy name..and detail correctly ie house no/ hall no*

How many cards do you need? Depends on the list of people that you would like to invite..some might do some e-cards or scan the card in order to save the budget and send the link or file to friends...

When to send the card? Hmm I'm not sure but I think do not send early as people might received and later missed it as there is tendency of “saya lupala”..maybe 1 to 3 weeks is the best..

For hotel reception, the card will have RSVP from French words Répondez s'il vous plaît *erk…I don’t know how to pronounce it..*, which require respond either “YES” to attend or “NO” decline.

Video + Photographer
All the thing *canopy, pelamin, baju sewa kat mak andam...etc * will be return once the event done...left with the memories and photos + video...

Nowadays its a trend to have this custom album...and there are so many photographers *or only because they have the DSLR kah?* and they might be charging you higher than the works that they have done. I found this link where this blogger is an anti wedding photographers...quite true also kan?

We have a long list to choose*of course budget counts* ...preetypeektures, saifulnang, magicclickers, etc *just mention few names...as there are a lot...and each have diff style of photo technics and editing the custom albums...*

During childhood I'm always dreaming to have a kind of outdoor with the wedding attire *maybe because always seen Chinese do this...erk adakah masa kecik sy kuat berangan?* and nowadays this become a trend to Malays also...

Big day..all about wedding

mas kahwin, kari daging, dalca, pelamin, bunga manggar, upah jahit lace, jahit chiffon, kasut nikah, kos kahwin, photographer,...bla bla..bla bla....

All this thing will makes the bride to be so scared...even the groom also feel it esp when shaking tok kadi hand...

But it really worth it since two different person *this is not man from mars and women from jupiter...or whatever..haha* will become as husband and wife..two heart, soul become one...two family will become even bigger family...et cetera...

Nowadays wedding events will makes more money and profit to caterer, photographer, wedding planing and all the people involved directly or indirectly in this business...So the most important thing is planning and the rest have to ask from whom have experienced it before...

My big day will be confirmed soon….this will be the most awaiting moment. *aha penat tau asek dating, makan, jalan*...and I really want to write on it *anything I like, I know, my dream wedding...and so on...* It will be few series “persiapan perkahwinan” wedding-preparation..which might help myself as long checklist and maybe help other bride to be...Let start...

The right one
Takde calon pasangan macam mana nak kawen kan? so after find the right one then we will think to end the relationship*not the real end...just end the relationship as lovers but it will start as new world as husband and wife*
K-AH-W-I-N..sape tak suka kawen kan ;p ? penat2 bercinta *esp for those have long years of relationship maybe start from childhood turns into lovers..*

The date
08.08.08, 09.09.09, 10.10.10 wokeh this date seem that so like-able..Ada apa dengan tarikh?
The most important thing to set the date is to gather all the families..atok, sepupu, dua pupu...kupu2...hehehe
Some will have solemnization a day before reception, solemnisation+reception on the same day..or even solemnization followed by reception after some times *a week, a month..3 months or more...*

Try to arrange it accordingly and not to have the same wedding date with other relatives yg nak kawen….

Checklist
I have my own version of checklist, dateline plus budget...This is the most important esp if you become CEO chief-everything-officer for your own wedding..

We can find it thru surfing, magazines...but it is not necessary to follow it 100% as it is only general guide...perasan tak checklist tu selalu tulis what we should do 6 month before until a day before wedding...erm..my list is buat ape yg boleh buat..mana2 yg berkaitan booking hanya dibuat bile dah confirm tarikh...

Budget
Yes this will be the main thing...nothing is free in this world..even toilet already cost 20cents or more...in Islam the main concern is mas kahwin, but it is not necessary in monetary value..It can be any valuable thing even teaching Al-Quran also can become mas kahwin..other that that we are encourage to have small feast to inform family, friends , neighbours...so at least they know that you are married...

Some might be lucky as family will sponsor partially or even all the wedding expenses, some even have to get personal loan, some even working harder and save every single cents...after all we should not expense all the savings for wedding because life after marriage still have a cost, even a lot..house, mesin basuh, tv lcd, katil, babies...the super-duper list

But I believe we should work out from what we have...if we only have little saving then the event should be in accordance to what we have...the wedding event is not to pleased other people because.....its hard to please others! *sob sob sob...hope my blog will generate little income for me...*

Kursus kahwin

*baik ustazah..ekin akan wat....pstt saya pun kursus ngan ustazah ni*

This is very important and most likely passport before you can submit the application...You can choose to attend it earlier *even before you meet the right one*

I have attended it together with enck tunang at Zura's Academy, Bangsar around last June..ustaz2 and ustazah have shared on few topic..procedures, hukum hakam, tanggungjawab, relationship, sex etc...we have very fun session for one and half day *erm..cannot stop laughing all the way..even one ustaz is talking about thundercat..*

Even at the end of 2nd day there is some kind of mock wedding...*naseb baik xkena pilih..kalau tak mauya jadi pelakon-bidan-terjun..*

Note : Make sure that you have booked earlier since the seat is limited for every weekend, have a good sleep esp for ceramah on Sunday, get some sweets since you might be sleepy for long hours stretching ceramah *it depens on penceramah juga..and topics*

Hantaran ...gifts-for-wedding
Malaysia is known for so many sale...will have sale for all the festival..even school holiday also have sale back-to-scholl-sale *not the kids will spend but their mummy will spend ;p* ..whoa!..supermarket anniversary sale and most popular will be year-end-sale *this year will be as super saving sale, jualan jimat malaysia kan?* ..So it should not be a big problem to find the things that you want for hantaran *except you are fussy huh*..most prefer to buy it during sale or towards the wedding...

Hmm...do you believe that for us, everything almost done..with left only few items...although people will say it will become outdated but who cares...as long as both of us like the things and still within our budget it should be ok...*lagipun penat jalan2 asik survey..kan lebih baik beli ajelah kan...lgpun dh berkenan...*

Note: Have proper checklist...5 balas 7, 7 balas 9 or even more *some even do not have hantaran kahwin since they have give it during engagament..* Set a budget for the gift and look for it...jangan rambang mata hingga terbeli apa yg tidak sepatutnya...Then spend some times to look few stores... *bf, tunang be patient k, girls always like that..they never buy it until they look around and satisty*

Decoration for hantaran...so many choices that we have..ask the expert to do it for you *its not free, you have to pay the cost* or for those who like DIY will do themselves...decoration varies from fresh flowers, artificial flowers, bunga dip, bunga stokin, colourful ribbon...*pergi jalan TAR mau rambang...silap2 budget pun boleh larik..*

For us, I will do by myself...huargh...still searching the ideas for both side..since I'm willingly to do it...but of course fresh flowers will not be in the list...*kampungku bandar koboi, susah nk jumpa fresh flower...*

Theme colour..theme wedding
This is the most in trend nowadays...garden wedding, white wedding, beach wedding...with specific theme colour...the theme wedding not necessary for myself, but for the colour I am still thinking on it*for hantaran, reception....and the rest maybe have some tone, colour combination...* Yes people might say it would nice if the bride, groom and families to have the same theme for clothing but sometimes it might lead to happen that pengantin tenggelam and families will shine...owh...maybe some colour coordination need to be done..

I'm not yet decided any specific colour *although I really like purple..warna kegemaran dr zaman kanak2* ...I'm not kind of following kaler yg sdg “in”..* but for akad nikah (solemnisation) , we will wearing white baju nikah...

Childhood - What we used to eat

I’m always wanted to write about childhood, back to the 80’s *mine? hmmmm* besides I’ve found few memorable things when I was kid while doing some cleaning *while I was in my hometown ;)*…but I really dunno where and how to start.

Just recently I received fwd email dedicated esp to those born in 80's and started to think that it would be great idea to combine the email and what I have in my mind.

So we shall start from the following pics (almost all the pics here is from the fwd email unless stated from other sources):-

Colourful drink in nice bottle or sometimes got ais krim Malaysia versi cair …just few days ago I saw a girl hanging in her neck the red colour water …so there’re still exist in this milennium year…I still remembered how this type or drinks attract the all kids like me…When it comes to ais krim malaysia (there is no Baskin Robbin, Haagen-Dazs) , I believe some will love to patahkan di bahagian tengah ais krim itu…esp semasa ais krim tu betul2 sejuk and keras….yummy2 ais krim perisa milo, oren, asam boi etc..hoho can we still get this type of ais krim? Besides, I still remember how we use to gigit di hujung plastik itu untk dapatkan aiskrim/colourful drinks…because sometimes the plastic is so hard…*or our teeth is not enough calsium?* Aha if not mistaken there are 2 type plastic for ais krim Malaysia either yg straight or the other one which have curve *this one which ais krim itu boleh dipatah2kan*

I really dunno what I used to call this biscuit when I’m small, but the biscuit is so colourful and nice. Besides that, the colourful top is sweet icing..so sometimes kids maybe eat it in different way..Its either telan saja, eat the sweet icing first followed by the biscuit, eat the biscuit followed by the sweet icing, eat only the biscuit or eat only the sweet icing…so which one is your type? Mine will be telan saja kot :z Tora and ding dang is the most popular and in..with chocolate ball and free toys its really attract us *plus the jingle in TV makes us wanna the toys….because I believe when we see it on TV the toys really canggih tak gitu?* there also other food that really attract kids..it was Nini *I believe we must pronounce it like this Nini Cokelat Celup Celup*… biscuit (stick) dip into choc,strawberry or peanut flavoured *I still can see it nowadays, but not sure the popularity among kids*

Buble gum and chewing gum..hmm not sure how to write since I’m not eating chewing gum *maybe I’m a good kid* but I really remember how kids really love the instant tatoo..just put some water on the cartoon *usually it will be at the back of chewing gum wrapper* and straight away put it on our hand..and tara we will have this nice instant tatoo. I’m used to eat sugus and trebor sweets. Sugus is really attacts me as it was colourful - orange, pink, purple, green and the taste is sweet. Trebor sweets will comes in small round shape container….inside there will be about 10 sweets with some white powder. It comes with few flavours too to choose.

On top of that, I also do some “research” *actualy googling for some pics* and managed to get this:- When I was in Form 1 to 3 in a boarding school, the most popular junkie was biskut kapal terbang and biskut bantal…so when anybody when for outing, surely it will become the main thing in the list to buy. Usually we will bought it in 500grams or even more…hmm suddenly teringat ikan jaket lauk paling popular :r not sure how the biscuit was named like this but the figure of it almost like an aeroplane!

Besides, there’s also gula-gula bantal/ udang*no sure other will called it what* it was white coloured sweet *saya selalu takut nk makan plastik nipis covering the sweets..hoho maybe thinking that something will happen if I ate this plastic*

I want to pen off for this entry but suddenly kuaci hitam and kuaci putih slipped in my mind *I use to ate also kuaci hitam, kuaci putih. If not mistaken in the kuaci bag packets there’s always a paper stating that you can win some money..maybe max rm5 but usually the paper will be with only cartoon and no money to be won* Besides kacang salut dalam mini packets *x silapnya plastik tu ada gambar rama2*

Kickapoo….aha the most pupolar drink that time..guess what I manage to find this website

Besides, I’m also discussing this topic with my fiance and manage to recall 7up which comes together with icon Fido Dido *hehe during primary school, I got a maths teacher who loves Fido Dido..even if I not mistaken he paint a mural of this on our school wall*

Also there’s a lot of snack that we can name it together, durian snack *round-yellow-strong smell full in the packaging…not like nowadays junkies where there’s a lot of empty space compared to the size of packaging* also corn snack *the packaging size is same as medium size picture upload in blogspot..inside ada 2 batang snek jagung dan snek itu berlubang di bahagian tengah..hoho not sure whether I can describe it well or not..its also yellow in colour* The other one will be almost likely long ruler size and it contains something that coated with chocolate… *also I cannot name it* not to forget cikedis, super ring, miau-miau, ais krim potong, tic-tac…….

The idea is not stopped here but I’m still discussing with my fiance, Shara and Dila *hehe contibutor indirectly in order to recall all those thing*

The list still continues with mamee and when it comes to girl the most popular food will be asam *oho :D saya tak makan asam except asam jawa dan asam duit2 ‘haw flakes’ *The one that I can recall is the one which is 50sen size and very red in colour di tengah2nya terdapat biji…then there’s a lot of asam varities in colours, taste, and size….ad yg kecik2, panjang2…*not good about asam..so I really cannot imagine and write it*

Surely some of snacks and drinks are still exist nowadays. But I strongly feel that the way we react, appreciate and enjoying it very much different from nowadays kids *today there’s a lot of thing and the kids are so pampered, easily to get what they want compared to my time where ais krim Malaysia can makes my day :~*

Back to those times, the value of money is soo much different. We can buy the foods with only 5cents, 10 cents. Our family also can provide 30cents less or more for us to bring it to the school.We treasure every moment and the foods that we have.

Surely I will continue to write the childhood things. So just stay tune to the next chapter about this. Comments/ shout (oggix) are most welcome :z
