Cooking competition

Its not about myself enter any cooking competition (gulp...mak xlayak la...takat masak sdiri2 je yakin)..but it about reality tv showing some sort of cooking competition..

I really enjoy this reality cooking competition compared to singing reality tv...Reason? erk maybe its mouth watering? Haha..I think because I love food! Sometimes certain thing sound bombastic when it comes to the recipe name..like "Shrimp and Corn Risotto Fritters with Jalapeno Aioli" (bknke itu mcm keluarga jemput2..hihi)

Besides enjoying the shows, it also adding my cooking dictionaries...despite certain thing might not available in Malaysia..

Iron Chef

I think this is the first ever reality tv that I saw past few years back (yelah dulu xde astro..so tgk ape yg aderla)

I really love the show...The guest chefs challenging the show's resident "Iron Chef". Then they have to prepare as many dishes as they can from the specific theme ingredient. So they have to be creative with this ingredient...

Chopped

In each episode four chefs compete by three round - appetizer, entree, and dessert. The chefs are given a basket containing several ingredients, and each dissh must contain each of those ingredient.

I think the competition really tough..because the ingredient itself sometimes not commonly prepared eg sardine, watermelon (kalau ikan ngan durian at least leh la gulai tempoyak ikan...walaupun tempoyak tu xberapa nk tempoyak la sbb masa pendek)

Top Chef

Just few weeks I watched this...Itu pun terbukak tv right after sampai rumah (around 7pm). And its already half of the season 3..and slowly catch up with season 4. From the website currently it has 8 season...

Again here chefs compete each other in culinary challenges. Each episode had two challenge - quickfire challenge and elimination challenge

Masterchef US

I just watched it because encik suami said "ni pertandingan masak2..best"

Ok..Among all the above, this is something different because they are not really chef. From doctor, software engineer, server, student...so it range

Even encik suami said if there is something like this in Malaysia, he want to join (then I have to become his cheerleeder)

And I already know who will be the winner for this 1st Masterchef US!

Even kununnya sinopsis but sometimes rasa mcm ada yg xberapa sama..even encik suami kata ntah2 nnt adam meninggal...saja nk bg wife emo tgk tv la tuh..

But I'm really proud because Ida & Tania enjoying while racing ...hip hip hooray...they still have time to enjoy every single moments..even they managed to grab the foods, drinks...bravo...*should they receive an award for this thing? or can I give them award..psstt they even didn't read my reading kan?*

After all Malaysia team *specific gals team* was so powerful...Zabrina-Joe Jer, Pamela-Vanessa, Ida-Tania...all of them equal since they are FINAL 3...

But the only thing Zab-Joe Jer win the race...*1st season M'sia team No 1, 2nd season M'sia team No 2, 3rd seaon M'sia team No 3..

4th season..pls bring back the No 1..pls...

Weight gain, weight loss

I know it sounds that I'm trying to sell some beauty products....te..et..... wrong...it just I couldn't think the exact tittle

Although I write earlier that I couldn't celebrate raya but this for year but I have few series of open house *uhum that is related to weight gain kan..*

I have tried to attend all the open house invitation...Thank you soo much for inviting me, next year don't forget to invite me again...hehe...maybe next year or next2 year will be my turn also.... *erm hopefully I would have some times to train all the berkarat cooking skill*

Oho did I mention that saya beraya hingga ke PD? This unplanned trip was a last minute plan...and Alhamdullillah the weather was good and we even have opportunity to have a sunset view...so beautiful....and alang2 dh sampai PD sempat beraya lagi ke rumah housemate zaman MRSM dulu...*smpai gak aku rumah ko ek Angah*

JJCM activities seems not so important since all the pounds, fat here and there..so need to have some sort of exercise and control of foods intake....

But we still have some sort of JJCM during TA charity and family carnival at TA cark park *in front of KLCC* on 1st November...we found this oldchangkee Singapore curry puffs*bigger than canned drink*. . for RM 2O coupons we were enjoying mee rebus, mee kari, mineral water, soya beans, curry puff and ice cream...the price of the foods was slightly higher since it was for charity

I miss few series of challenge activities that held this year like Maju Junction Merdeka Hunt, PIC *maybe sbb takut jadik mcm PIC 2007 so tak masuk kot…* So I decided to join Terry Fox Run 2008at Lake Gargen on 2nd November ...not really running but brisk walk for 5++km...*its not a magic to lose few pounds but hopefully it will be a good starter for myself before siri2-diet untk kawen...yaya hopefully I will have my serious exercise plan after this*

Celebrity for the day was Ida Nerina *opss..she can zipped her mouth for Amazing Race Asia 3 result..so sad Bernie has been eliminated..uwa..*

Amazing race asia is almost towards it end..but still few tv series just start 1-2 episode *I still couldn't understand that I could addicted to tv series but not to film yg bersiri2...eventhough tv series we need to have to watch it for several months*

Some of tv series that I will try to be patient and trying not to miss it *encik tunang now you will know why nowadays saya balik kerja on time..hehe* Awan Dania (Isnin 9-10mlm) Renjis 2 (Rabu 9-10mm) Heroes season 3 (have to check..x ingat Thursday 10pm)...and the most awaiting American Next Top Model Cycle 11 *Tyra Bank you rock!...Britain and Australian Next Top Model is not so impressive...huh maybe I love American accent...sounds clear kot*

I have watched High School Musical 3 *as usual I didn’t follow the sequel film before* Not sure what makes me booked the tickets and drag encik tunang secara paksa-rela …erm maybe because of the catchy tv promo, red robe upm convocation *erm..betul ke nih?* or because of heartthrob Zac Efron (Troy Bolton)…*hehe rumours stated that he will be in Pirates of Carribean 4.. oho not sure he will play which role…*

Last time watching musical shows was P.Ramlee and maybe Grease *John Travolta nyanyi2, menari2 lagik*

Overall really fun…the song and choreography superb *erm that’s why I couldn’t stop my head from following the song..oh..since this morning I keep playing “Now or never” and even upload this mp3 and set as a ringtone…*

Yeah...yeah...*ala2 budak2 cheer..owhh*

But I believe there’s always one raya song that you cannot wait it..and you want it damn badly to be on air on radio esp towards the end of Ramadhan..even you can recognised the intro of the song...
For myself it will be Sepasang Kurung Biru by Khairil Johari Johar *this year I heard only once, maybe its a sad song...so maybe the DJ not prefer to choose it...*

I'm growing up with this and I'm still using it now until God know ...This is oven...*dari zaman kanak2 main masak2 dan menyibuk2 nk tolong emak (semasa hidupnya) hinggalah sekarang patut dah mampu beli oven/ microvawe canggih..tapi oven ini jugak diguna*

Yes it will be a little bit orthodox *hmm or should I write it as oldies/retro* by using it but somehow I still baking cakes and cookies using this and I admit that my first session of “mari belajar masak nasi” using dapur minyak tanah...and after few year barulah jumpa dapur gas and also rice cooker (zaman2 degree dulu)
