Tips : Buying books online

I don't consider myself as bookworm, but I tried my best to read if I have time

Monthly reading only Pa & Ma..and usually I will flipped back all those all magazines and books that I have *I cannot read in vehicles..so that's why I only have sweet time for reading while waiting for check up and at night – which is most likely impossible..anak tdo, ibu pun join..sometimes anak xtdo ibu dh mimpi dulu*

Few months ago I just think I need to buy few books after reading book review from some blogger. But its hard for me to visit MPH Midvalley or Kinokuniya to flip through the books...Besides I noticed some books not available at local bookstore

So here I share some tips:-

1. Get book title and author

2. You always can read other review (plus rating) from other blog and website eg amazon.com

3. Did you know that you can read partially of the book..Check here http://books.google.com/ .

For example type keyword "pregnancy sucks" and you will be surprised to see the book preview of "Pregnancy Sucks : What to Do When Your Miracle makes You Miserable by Joanne Kimes, Sanford A. Tisherman" for almost 20 pages - because I read review said the book is funny, so thats why I just try to check preview at the above link

BUT not all book available for preview..it depends

4. You can make a list books to buy..visit

You can buy online and they also can deliver to your doorstep

5. In case your book do not available at the store, you always can contact customer service. At first I thought to buy from overseas but afraid the book will not reached, not sure there will be custom issue and of course delivery rates will be charged.

So I decided to contact Kinokuniya thru email asking three books by stating book and author...

Within same day they reply and quote the price for two available books..Not to mention I also add another two books available at the store..so two book reserved, and two special ordered..It makes my life easier *no need to look ups and downs at the bookstore*

6. Kinokuniya requested my contact no...and guess what I received below sms to confirm the book arrives

7. Collect and pay the books. In case you want them to deliver it, just contact them back..surely they will help...*I need short trip for window shopping treatment..so opt to collect myself*

Last but not lease, PLEASE retain the book receipts for tax claim and filing purpose.

Pantang oh pantang

How do u spend long CNY holiday? Hmm..for me not so much as dlm-sesi-berjaga2....spend time lazily, maraton tidur, tv and so on

However, at least manage to settle something....buying confinement set and also 2 books related to Malay confinement

I know certain terms but I would consider myself tidak-cukup-ilmu-di-dada..and also always heard that if we do not really take care ourself during confinement, later will suffer at later age..sakit itulah inilah...[and men always have a reason bila wife tidak secun melecun spt dl....aih mintak jauh sume tu]

I am a kind of a person not so modern [aha..kolot kah?]...sometimes heard that after 2 weeks delivery can go to shopping mall [erk...], but of course people will write how boring it will be spending at home for 44 days confinement...[hehe even someone write items must have during confinement here]

Encik suami always 50-50 to send me back to his kampung for confinement...reason he is scared to drive our baby too far...plus MIL is still working. and even my kampung is just 2-3 hours travelling he is scared with the jalan-kampung-bengkang-bengkok nanti baby pening...

So after considering all the factors, I will spend confinement period at our house. MIL will come for a week and the rest encik suami haruslah tolong wife anda ini...and also my father will be staying with us [huhu sedih tau xde mak sdiri...baca blog org yg pantang ngan MIL pun rasa segan je macam2...yelah ngada2 ngan mak sdiri lain, nk ngada2 MIL harus la ada tahap2 jugalah...]

This book is great except the missing part is confinement....

To be frank, I am not sure how to choose confinement set...until I read this. Of course if buying too expensive set but not using it with-all-heart also might not have any +ve impact [slim melim mcm pengasas segala jamu2 cth mcm jamu mak dara, NR, mustika ratu..and so on]..pendek kata harusla-cuba-try-test dulu and try very best to follow all the pantang larang esp bab jaga makan dan berbengkung

But still I am tired not satisfied with internet reading, plus it is tiring to get all the exact wording...So yesterday I decided to bought 2 books about confinement [hehe since reading from few blogs that its worth buying]

We went to MPH, Alamanda....and get this [its pricey, but I will consider as good investment...nanti leh turunkan ke anak cucu....]

Encik suami : btl ke nk beli? mahal tu..

Me : leh claim tax ape? [agak encik suami lupa wife ada susur galur tax]

Encik suami : lps ni blh la awak jadik bidan..

Me: haha..blm lagikla...sdiri blm merasa sesi2 push2.....

To my disappoinment, another book is not in stock [have to wait for 2 weeks...], so I asked the SA to locate which MPH have this book [at this moment xboleh nk beli online sbb takut lambat sgt smpi], The SA said Summit and 1U..

So I requested encik suami to go Summit, since dalam kawasan jajahan xjauh dari rumah...but the SA over there have to take about 20 minutes to locate the book [itu pun bukan sorg carik....haih]

So since yesterday, I have read both..still not finish...but at least have a better understanding and confident to have confinement at our home [but of course encik suami sila support wife anda ini]

But I still have outstanding things to do..still not find the confinement lady tuk urut2 and so...plus maybe buy few add on items for the confinement [malam ini harus call sgala no yg dh dapat pg ni...mintak2 la dapat book 1 of them..Amin]

Jom pi soping online

Few weeks ago encik suami said that I am not paperless..because I asked to buy newspaper...

I know I am not really kind of paperless...owh banyak baca online kepala boleh naik pening okeh? esp my early pregnancy I couldn't stand to have a long hour with internet..and just recently okeh sedikit but still I prefer reading magazines/books compared to read the long reading in internet...

But when it comes to shopping online, I believe encik suami cannot do it...since he is afraid of security kot....hahaha...see isteri baik hati soping online je so jimat petrol, jimat duit parking, tenaga angkut beg plastik..and still save the world sbb xpayah beg plastik banyak2 okeh...

Okeh recently I made a lot online shopping....dapat duit bonus kah? No-No...Eyh but I just got deposit umah-sewa-bujang dulu yang cukup cover 6 helai baju...see, encik suami xleh komen sbb isteri accountant yg pandai match expenses with budget.

hihi plus ur wife know that she has been be very selekeh for past few months...so sila jangan hantar ur wife as calon2 Tangkap Muat...xmo rizalman punggah2 my clothes pstu gelak2 mcm episod yg kita tgk tuh!

I need to do shopping...to revamp and update the closet....segala baju2 lama sudah sendat....maka harus beli baju mengandung....but to be frank sometimes it hard to find long sleeves pregnancy clothes within my budget and preference....

Until I found 2-in1 closet concept... (and it is long sleeve!) which can be wear for pregnancy and nursing (Pray that I can have breastfeed as long as I can..)..owh I love 2 in 1 concept

Bkn gambar censor tau, ni tunjukkan concept 2-in-1..

Rabu-khamis-jumaat..3 days in a row sy glamer asik dpt parcel..

And also I have bought this book...encik suami, I bought it since u read while I have dentist visit...hope we can learn together2...(em saiful islam pun baca buku nih but I believe he read the original version which in English...nevermind we read in Bahasa supaya senang faham...)

Labour… Cheap labour

Can u imagine while we spend-koyak rabak poket-calculating every single cents..all the way to the wedding day, there is still something cheap?

It is damn cheap for almost half a day work…if you do not believe, kindly check the person wearing bunga dada…ya inilah upah paling murah dan rasuah yg di tayang2kan…BPR leh tangkap ramai org yg terima rasuah…hihihi

Sometimes, I wonder, why must put RM1? , is there any specific symbolic? Not sure…but usually the corsage for all the people that help during the kenduri will end up with RM1 or the most RM5….

Among all the DIY things that I have done, bunga dada yg paling xtau nk buat pe *adakah sy dh terlalu bnyk buat DIY until xde idea….then mcm gini xleh la nk wt biz kawen2..hihi*

So how it will look alike after day by day brain storming…? Sorry guys, I really want to show, but I just realized that I do not snap it – so I owe a lot of stories and pics…

This book is compilation from the Pesona Pengantin mag..since the very first entry but not up to date, but I believe there will be no 3, 4, and onwards for the compilation…my late mother introduce it..and to be frank bila curi2 baca kat kedai magazine, this column will be the 1^st & must read – xkisahle ada gambar2 berkaitan kahwin yg superb dlm mag tu!

Part III: Big day..all about wedding

This time I will focus on reading...*I know you might think serious reading..but this is fun reading...*

Esp for gals, once her bf kata saya-nak-kawen-dengan-awk...surely she will started to stand at the magazines stall..they will looked at “Pesona Pengantin (PP)” and have some kind of dreaming....to have this kind of baju nikah, bunga tangan, kek kahwin, kad kahwin..bla bla bla until aya kedai buku saying something like this to them.."adik manis..mau beli ka majalah...”

While back to reality, gals will started to collect all the magazines that write about wedding...

The magazines will help here and there...but seriously I really love Eh *cover Maya Karin..not only because I have attended the bengkel perkahwinan..but seriously it really helpful*

Urm, I only bought magazines as above and 4 extra magazines during last book fair..tak tahu le banyak ke tak..tp serius ia buatkan longgokan menimbun majalah kahwin..

For guys..they will read again..."The lost jewel..uhuk..P------ yang hilang” *yes gals might wonder..but you can asked from kakak2 ofis yang dah kawen about this book*

1429H…2008….

Salam Awal Muharam…hmm mcm dh lama xmerapu…xde masa….dari 2008 ke 1429H aku dh sakit 2 kali (mcm lama je tempoh tu pdhal 9 hari je)…adus…BUT really I’m sick…but ofismate aku kata "love sick" (haha ye ker? ^_^ love sick with my job)…tapi maybe tensen sgt cum hari2 ngadap computer ni, air cond sejuknya tahap mcm kat overseas….boleh wat aku yg sihat pun jadik sakit….but sakit2 mcmana pun keje still keje…nk wat camner org lain suka2 habiskan cuti, kena keje gak sbb closing….

Mostly bila masuk tahun baru bercerita cita2, azam, resolusi baru….nk jadi lebih baik, nk kurangkan a few kilos, nak slimkan badan, nak keje lebih kuat, find a new life, new love, …bla2…how about me? hehe ^_^…penghujung 1428H dan permulaan 1429H amat bermakna dan Alhamdulillah benda2 baik je berlaku….semoga keadaan juga bertambah baik untuk semuanya terutama sekali kesihatan dan kesejahteraan kedua ibu bapa aku yg tersayang

Penghujung 1428H, akhirnya setelah tensen2 ngan keje yg mmg xpenah abis, dan tensen2 ngan segala mcm2 benda, akhirnya quarter report dah submit..yesza aku boleh tersenyum2 smbl mkn kacang goreng..lalala..team manager pun kata compare aku few quarters ago dan smlm mcm langit ngan bumi….dulu2 nk tekan untk submit pun mcm xyakin..ni plak terover excited dan xsesabar….balik rumah lagi tersenyum sbb muka aku ngan tini masuk magazine ACCA (apesal le amik gambar aku yg tgh wat peace tu ek..xpe2….tini…kita dah 2 kali masuk magazines (haha lebih tepat muka kami terselit, tumpang glamer sket)..dolu2 kat mag NUR, skang plak kat ACCA…klu sape2 ade magazine tu leh buka n tgk..yg ada CPD 2008 tu kat no 21 ke 22 ek yg description "outdoor activities at Awana Genting during ACCA Development Camp 9 June 2007"

Permulaan 1429H, I find a new love….jeng jeng jeng (betul ke ????)…boleh jadik mcm2 benda…maybe new interest, new hobby, new life, new things to do, or anything in this world, but specifically for myself is …..^_^ (haha xdisclose kat sini, sbb aku, Allah &…..je tau…jgn tensen ek!) pandai2 le korang tafsirkan la ye….dan aku doakan yg terbaik buat diri aku, keluarga, kwn2 dekat di mata maupun di hati dan semuanya bkn saja untk 1429H bahkan untk masa2 hadapan…tambah lagi senyum sbb company dh bagi lebih baik benefits (yg nk try keje account kat sini, mehla….contact2 aku..nnt leh aku citer yg best..sure kene sekeh klu xbest bila dh masuk kompeni ni..haha)
